Baseline Resume Review

What is the baseline resume review?

This resume review is for a resume that is not tailored for a specific role.  Resumes are reviewed against the DeakinTALENT Baseline Resume Checklist.

The DeakinTALENT team adopts a two-step approach for resume development:

  • Step 1 – to achieve baseline level (focusing on structure, presentation and format);
  • Step 2 – to develop that resume to a tailored application artefact (focusing on quality of content)
What does it mean to have a baseline resume?

At baseline standard, a resume is at a foundational level and is not ready to be put forward for a graduate level role such as a graduate program or a law clerkship.  The DeakinTALENT Baseline Checklist is designed to screen for resumes that have the structure, format and presentation most employers require and does not reflect badly on the applicant.

*Please note if you are applying for a Medicine Internship, Nursing or Teaching Graduate Role, this review service is not suitable for your specific resume and you should submit your resume here for a Job Application Review.
